Q: Why is the download not working?
A: If the download is not working, please try again in a couple of minutes. The server
may be overloaded.
Q: Why did you make this page at all?
A: I sometimes like the old games better than the new ones. Also because I was looking
three games, that it took 3 months to locate. So I'm just trying to locate the games
for you, and make them available to you!
Q: If I request a game, how many details about it must I have? And also, how long time do I have to
wait before it's uploaded?
A: Preferably, the name of the game, also a description would be nice!
Q: What is Abandonware? (Seen from my view!)
A: Abandonware is a broad catageory of games. Two things must be true about the game. One is that the
game is five years old or older. The next requirement is that the maker of the game must not be
still producing it.
(ie: While Bubble Bobble is Abondonware, King's Quest 2 is not
since it is in the "Sierra Adventure Pack") For those of you who have thought of buying a game when
you were little and couldn't
get it becuase of some type of problems, this is your one last chance to fulfill those childhood
dreams of yours.
That's right, Abandonware is free!
Q: What is Abandonware? (Seen from the legal view!)
A: Actually, the term "Abandon Ware" is nothing the programmers of the games have made up, it's the
people that distribute it, that says it is free and legal. Well, it's not. Not even if the game
is over a certain age, since the company/programmers have never said that in their license.
Note to the last question: Al Lowe (The creator of Leisure Suit Larry) have released some of his old games as abandon ware. Check http://www.allowe.com for further details.
